Agreement to Our Legal Terms
We are Fronteer LLC ("Company," "we," "us," "our"), a company registered in Texas, United States at 5900 Balcones Drive Suite 100, Austin, TX 78731.
We operate the Fronteer mobile application (the "App"), available on iOS devices through the Apple App Store. The App, together with any related services, features, and content, are collectively referred to as the "Services."
Fronteer is a golf course discovery and community platform designed for golfers who care more about the experience than the scorecard. Through the App, you can log rounds with ratings and photos, receive personalized course recommendations based on your preferences, explore courses on an interactive map, plan golf trips with friends, participate in social features through our Clubhouse feed, and build your personal golf journal over time.
You can contact us by email at fronteersmen@gmail.com or by mail to 5900 Balcones Drive Suite 100, Austin, TX 78731, United States.
These Terms and Conditions ("Legal Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity ("you"), and Fronteer LLC, concerning your access to and use of the Services. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Legal Terms.
IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THESE LEGAL TERMS, DO NOT DOWNLOAD, INSTALL, OR USE THE APP AND DISCONTINUE USE IMMEDIATELY.
We reserve the right to update these Legal Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date above and, where practicable, through an in-app notification or push alert. Your continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
The Services are intended for users who are at least 18 years old. Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to use or register for the Services.

1. Our Services
Fronteer provides the following core features and functionality through the App:
Round Logging and Ratings
You can log golf rounds you have played, including the course, date, score, time of day, duration, number of holes played, and optional photos. Each round can be rated across multiple categories displayed on a radar chart, including Course Quality, Pace, Scenery, Value, Difficulty, and Facilities. Ratings reflect your personal experience, not an objective industry ranking.
Course Discovery (Roam Map)
The Roam map allows you to explore golf courses geographically. You can filter courses by state, access type (public, private, resort, semi-private), price tier, difficulty, and distance. Course pages display community ratings, photos contributed by users, and course details such as architect, par, yardage, and slope.
Social Features (Clubhouse)
The Clubhouse is a social feed where you can view activity from friends and other users, including round completions, course photos, trip recaps, and course suggestions. You can connect with other users through a friend/follow system, create and join Groups for regular play, and send course suggestions to friends.
Trip Planning
You can plan golf trips by grouping courses from your wishlist, setting a Home Base location, inviting trip members, and organizing an itinerary. After a trip concludes, you may mark it as completed and view a trip recap comparing your planned itinerary against rounds actually played.
Wishlist and Tee Sheet
You can save courses to a personal wishlist for future play. The Tee Sheet feature allows you to create ranked lists of your favorite courses and rounds using a drag-and-drop interface.
2. Your Account
To access the Services, you must create an account. You may register using an email and password, or through Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In. During registration, you will be asked to create a unique username (3 to 20 characters, letters, numbers, periods, hyphens, and underscores only).
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate registration information and to update it promptly if it changes.
We reserve the right to remove, reclaim, or change a username if we determine, in our sole discretion, that it is inappropriate, obscene, impersonates another person, or otherwise violates these Legal Terms.
You may delete your account at any time through the Settings section of the App. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Certain anonymized or aggregated data derived from your use of the Services (such as community course averages) may be retained.
3. Your Content: Rounds, Ratings, Photos, and Reviews
What Counts as Your Content
When you use the Services, you create and submit various types of content ("Your Content"), including:
Round logs with scores, ratings, and written notes
Course photos uploaded during round logging
Course reviews and comments
Trip recaps and reflections
Profile information (name, bio, profile photo)
Feedback, bug reports, feature suggestions, and course requests submitted through the App
Photo Contributions
Photos you upload during round logging may be considered as candidates for course cover images displayed on course pages throughout the App. Photos are evaluated for technical quality using automated processing. By uploading photos with "Public" visibility, you consent to having those photos displayed on course pages and potentially seen by all users of the App.
You control the visibility of your photos through privacy settings available when logging a round and in the Social and Privacy section of Settings. Options include Public (visible to all users and eligible for course cover use), Friends Only (visible to your connections), and Private (visible only to you). Once uploaded, photos cannot be replaced but may be deleted.
Written Notes and Comments
Written notes and comments also have configurable visibility: Public (may appear on course pages), Friends Only (visible to connections), or Private (visible only to you). Default visibility for both photos and comments can be set in your privacy settings.
Ownership
You retain ownership of Your Content. We do not claim ownership of your photos, reviews, ratings, or other user-generated content.
4. How We Use Your Content
By posting or uploading Your Content through the Services, you grant Fronteer LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute Your Content in connection with operating and improving the Services. Specifically:
Course ratings you submit are aggregated (anonymized) to generate community averages displayed on course pages via radar charts. Individual ratings are not publicly attributed unless your round is set to Public visibility.
Photos set to Public visibility may be displayed as course cover images, in the Clubhouse feed, or on course detail pages.
Written reviews set to Public visibility may appear on course pages.
Round activity (courses played, ratings given) may appear in the Clubhouse feed of your friends and followers, subject to your privacy settings.
We do not sell your photos, reviews, or personal content to third parties. We do not use your content for advertising purposes unrelated to the Services. We may collect, analyze, and share aggregated, anonymized data derived from user activity on the platform. This data does not identify you personally and may be used for research, business, or commercial purposes.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you waive any moral rights you may have in Your Content posted with Public visibility. You warrant that moral rights have not otherwise been asserted in Your Content.
We may use Your Content posted with Public visibility for promotional purposes related to the Services, including in marketing materials, social media, and press coverage for Fronteer.
We reserve the right to remove or moderate any content that violates these Legal Terms or our Community Guidelines, or that we determine in good faith to be harmful, misleading, or inappropriate. Our content moderation process may include automated review and manual review by our team.
5. Personalized Recommendations and Your Preference Data
Fronteer builds a preference profile for each user based on round logging activity, ratings, and onboarding selections. This preference profile includes data points such as your preferred challenge level, pace, price range, scenery preferences, and the relative importance you place on each rating category.
This preference data is used solely to generate personalized course recommendations and to improve the recommendation engine. Your preference profile is not shared with other users and is not sold to third parties.
The recommendation algorithm uses a weighted matching system that compares your preference profile against community-aggregated course data. Recommendations are not influenced by paid placements, advertising, or course operator partnerships. No course can pay to rank higher in your personalized recommendations.
The accuracy and relevance of your recommendations depend on the number and quality of rounds you have logged. Recommendations may change over time as you log more rounds and as community data for courses evolves.
6. Social Features and Community Guidelines
The App includes social features that allow you to interact with other users. When using these features, you agree to:
Treat other users with respect. Harassment, bullying, hate speech, discriminatory language, and threats of violence are prohibited.
Not impersonate other users or public figures.
Not post content that is sexually explicit, violent, illegal, or promotes self-harm.
Not use social features for spam, unsolicited advertising, or commercial solicitation.
Not share other users’ private information without their consent.
Not submit false or misleading course ratings, reviews, or reports.
Reporting and Moderation
You may report users or content through the Report a User feature in Settings or through in-app reporting options. Reports are reviewed by our team. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts, remove content, report users to law enforcement authorities, and take other appropriate action in response to violations of these guidelines or applicable law.
Groups
You can create and join Groups for organizing regular play and trip planning. Group creators may manage membership. We are not responsible for interactions that occur within Groups beyond enforcing our Community Guidelines and these Legal Terms.
7. Course Data and Information Accuracy
Fronteer provides course information including names, locations, par, yardage, slope, green fees, architect, access type, and aesthetic classifications. This information is compiled from multiple sources and user contributions.
We strive to maintain accurate and up-to-date course information, but we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any course data. Green fee amounts, course availability, access policies, and other details may change without notice by the course operators. Always verify directly with the course before making travel or booking decisions.
Community ratings and averages reflect the subjective opinions of Fronteer users and should not be interpreted as objective quality assessments. A course’s community rating may change as more users contribute ratings.
You may submit course requests or corrections through the App. We review submissions and update course information at our discretion.
8. Intellectual Property
The Fronteer name, logo, app design, user interface, recommendation algorithms, rating system design, radar chart visualization, and all related branding, graphics, and software are the property of Fronteer LLC and are protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App, its design, or its content (excluding Your Content) without our prior written permission.
You may not use the Fronteer name, logo, or branding in any way that suggests endorsement or affiliation without our written consent.
Nothing in these Legal Terms grants you any rights in the Services except the limited license to use the App as described herein.
9. Mobile Application License
We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited right to install and use the App on iOS devices you own or control, strictly in accordance with these Legal Terms.
You shall not:
Decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App, except as permitted by applicable law.
Modify, adapt, or create derivative works from the App.
Use the App for any commercial purpose for which it is not designed, including using App data to operate a competing service.
Make the App available over a network for use by multiple devices or users simultaneously.
Use any automated systems (bots, scrapers, scripts) to access the App or extract data from it.
Apple App Store Terms
Your use of the App is also subject to Apple’s App Store Terms of Service. In the event of a conflict between these Legal Terms and Apple’s terms regarding the App, Apple’s terms will apply to the extent required. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Legal Terms and may enforce them against you.
10. Third-Party Services and Integrations
The App may integrate with or link to third-party services, including but not limited to:
Apple or Google authentication services
These third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Fronteer is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services. Your interactions with third-party services, including any purchases or bookings made through them, are solely between you and the third party.
11. Privacy and Data
We care about your privacy. Our Privacy Policy, available within the App under Settings > Legal > Privacy Policy, describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information. By using the Services, you agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy.
Key points relevant to these Legal Terms:
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We do not access your phone contacts. User discovery is based on invite links, usernames, and in-app friend requests.

When you delete your account, your personal data is removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
If you access the Services from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Services, you consent to this transfer.

If your account is terminated, you may not create a new account without our permission. We reserve the right to pursue appropriate legal action where warranted.
